strategic plan

Housatonic Valley Waldorf School, located in Newtown, Connecticut, offers authentic, accredited Waldorf education spanning parent-child classes through pre-k, elementary, and middle school, as well as after-school programs, extended care, day summer camp, and many lectures and community events.

While Waldorf Education turned 100 in 2019, we remain the only Waldorf grade school in Connecticut. Our families travel from across Connecticut including Newtown, Bethel, and Danbury, CT, as well as Westchester County, New York to attend our independent day school.

Housatonic Valley Waldorf School is a nature-based preschool that provides a unique and enriching educational environment for children to learn and develop social skills in. The school’s curriculum is centered around the natural world, providing children with hands-on learning opportunities in the great outdoors. The dedicated teachers at Housatonic Valley Waldorf School create a nurturing and supportive environment that encourages children to observe and interact with the world around them. Our day summer camp allows us to continue their education and community involvement year-round!
