Available to Early Childhood Students
With questions about Extended Care please e-mail our Special Projects Coordinator, Maria Green (firstname.lastname@example.org). Please check the calendar for holidays and scheduled early dismissals.
What does a typical day of extended care entail?
Extended care is offered on school days from 12:30 pm to 2:55 pm in the kindergarten classrooms. While each classroom has variations on their afternoon schedule, each afternoon will consist of free play, lunchtime, rest time, and additional free play. Parents must pack a healthy lunch.
What is the cost of a drop-in day?
Drop-ins are $32 and are available on a first come, first served basis. Space may be limited so please email Maria Green (email@example.com) as soon as you know you will need a drop-in day so she can confirm availability.
What is the cost for an extended care contract?
A contracted rate will vary based on the number of days per week you require. The difference between the drop-in and contract rate may be up to $8 per day. Please email Maria Green for further details (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Do I get refunds for days missed due to sickness, quarantine, vacation, or weather-related school closures?
While there are no refunds for absences or unplanned campus closures, we do factor “free” days into the contract rates.
Do I get a refund if the campus closes for distance learning?
The Early Childhood program will remain open under Office of Early Childhood guidance even if our grade school switches to distance learning. However, an Early Childhood class may be required to switch to distance learning due to a required class-wide quarantine. If this should happen, the program will not run during this time and future invoices would be credited to reflect this change.
