Waldorf for Grownups
September 23 @ 8:30 am - 10:15 am
An event every week that begins at 8:30 am on Thursday, repeating until December 9, 2021
“No day should pass in our human life without our receiving at least one thought that alters our nature a little, and enables us to develop instead of merely to exist.”
– Rudolf Steiner
September 23 – December 9, 2021
10 Thursday mornings, 8:30-10:15 a.m.
in the Morning Glories room (Community House)
Ever wonder what it would be like to be a Waldorf student? In this class we’ll do some things our children get to do: sing, move, draw, paint, get to know each other. And we’ll do something they don’t do: discuss Waldorf education and anthroposophy, the philosophy behind it, which is also a modern spiritual path. We will practice meditative exercises given by Rudolf Steiner. The purpose of the class is to bring beauty, warmth, aliveness and wisdom into our week.
All are welcome. Please commit to attending every class, and to doing some reading between classes. The tuition, which includes materials and facilities fee, is $200 for the 10 classes, payable on September 23. If this is a problem, you may identify a different amount; payment for 10 classes is still due at the first session. Make checks payable to Melissa Merkling.
The 10 dates are Sept. 23, 30; Oct. 7, 14, 21, 28; Nov. 4, 18; Dec. 2, 9.
