Please join us for a (virtual) talk open to all HVWS parents about the importance of bringing a comprehensive health and wellness curriculum to our students (early childhood through eighth grade), with guest speaker, Janah Boccio, LCSW, MEd, who is consulting with HVWS on an updated health and wellness curriculum.

Janah Boccio, LCSW, MEd, has over 15 years of experience working with students, parents and educators about sex, gender and sexuality. In addition to having experience working as a social worker at an independent school in New York City, Janah maintains a psychotherapy practice where she works with adolescents and adults focusing mainly on gender and sexuality as well as anxiety and life transitions. Janah has created workshops and written advice columns for parents and caregivers on how to talk to kids about sex and sexuality, and has presented to parents and Pre-K through 12th grade educators on gender and sexuality development as both a consultant in schools and at various conferences. Janah received her BA in Psychology from Macalester College, her MSW from the Smith College School for Social Work, and her MEd from Widener University. She is currently working towards her PhD in Sexuality Education at Widener University.
