Annual Fund donations are always critical to bridging the gap between tuition income and the actual cost of providing our rich Waldorf education, but this year is different.

In these uncertain times, we are committed to providing assistance to families financially impacted by the pandemic in the form of our Bridge Assistance program. Additionally, it is unlikely we will be able to hold our traditional in-person fundraising events: the Fall Fair, Holiday Market, and Spring Benefit. And of course, we are faced with extra costs this year in our efforts to re-open campus in a way that feels safe for our students and employees including building and upgrading outdoor teaching and play spaces, purchasing protective equipment and extra cleaning supplies, investing in curriculum materials to support teachers in providing distance learning when needed, and increasing the frequency of professional cleaning. And while our expenses are increasing, there are limits on some of our programmatic income including necessary caps on enrollment in some classes, a more limited Extended Care program, and a pause on Summer Camp and After-school Programs.

We are resolved to meet the challenges of the current global crisis and we ask that you stand with us and do the same. We need all of you. It will take hope and perseverance to reach what we believe are our most important goals—keeping our community healthy and our school intact. This is no small task.
