In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, many things have had to change. Many schools, churches, businesses, and organizations across the country have had to temporarily close or modify their practices to encourage social distancing. Events, festivals, conventions, and other collective experiences have been postponed or canceled. While there are many things we can’t do as we practice safe behaviors and remain at home, we can continue to deliver a robust Waldorf education this year as we also plan for the 2020-21 school year, when we hope we will see each other in person again.
The Housatonic Valley Waldorf School’s campus remains closed, but we have pivoted to a distance learning program and are currently accepting applications for the fall. A Virtual Open House is convenient for many reasons. Parents can easily join without the added hassle of finding a sitter or deciding who stays home with the kids. You also cut down on preparation and travel time with a Virtual Open House, freeing up more time to focus on other things at home.

With our Virtual Open House, we strive to emulate the experience of an in-person event as much as possible. Parents will have a chance to see our school in a whole new way, getting a peek at our beautiful classrooms and learning about our rich curriculum.
