Our Summer Camp is held at the Housatonic Valley Waldorf School campus, and provides 5 weekly sessions that run from July 11 through August 12. Each week has a different theme for each of the two age groups.
Group 1 Ages 3 - 7 years

GROUP 1 Ages 3 - 7 years
WEEK 1 July 11 - 15 SUMMER’S GARDEN: Plant a small vegetable garden and tend to Mother Earth and her creatures among the garden.
WEEK 2 July 18 - 22 BUTTERFLIES AND BUGS: Summer’s warmth allows time to enjoy observing and catching our beautiful flying and hopping insect friends.
WEEK 3 July 25 - 29 FAIRIES, KNIGHTS AND DRAGONS: Help to build your own “castle” in our sandbox, while whittling away at a night’s sword to protect the woodland fairies that might venture from out of the fairy houses.
WEEK 4 August 1 - 5 WATER, WORMS & WONDER: What is summer without water play? Clear, clean water to splash in; muddy, dirty water to roll in– whatever you choose, it’s all fun!
WEEK 5 August 8 - 12 HOES, HANDS AND HARVEST: See what abundance abounds after the warm sun has been kissing the blossoms for weeks!
GROUP 2 Ages 8 - 12 years
WEEK 1 July 11 - 15 SUMMER’S GARDEN & NATURE'S COLORS: Work together to create a small organic garden while expressing the beauty of summer’s colors on canvas.
WEEK 2 July 18 - 22 WILD AND WONDERFUL WATER: Enjoy a hike along one of our area trails, enjoy a day of fishing or frog catching and dip your oars into the shimmering waters of our local lakes.
WEEK 3 July 25 - 29 ARCHERY/FENCING: Hone your skills in a sport that requires concentration, sportsmanship and enthusiasm. Craft your own bow and arrow for sport or marksmanship.
WEEK 4 August 1 - 5 PRIMITIVE SKILLS: Fire making, shelter building, identifying medicinal and edible plants are all areas that will be explored through observation, training of the senses and awareness of nature.
WEEK 5 August 8 - 12 HARVESTING AND COOKING: Learn the skills of bringing a harvest from farm to table. We will enjoy the culmination of all of our efforts with a banquet to be created and served by you at week’s end!
