If your child is transferring from another school, the information provided will aid our faculty in determining whether the Waldorf curriculum and philosophy will be educationally beneficial for your child.
Grades, teacher reports, assessments and/or observations from the past two years must be sent to us.
The Enrollment Director will set up an interview with the appropriate class teacher.
Grade school students applying during the school year must visit the classroom for 1-3 full days prior to acceptance.
The Housatonic Valley Waldorf School faculty makes admissions and placement decisions. The decisions are based on the class visit (for grades students), the application and supporting documents, the interview, the particular makeup and needs of the class for which the child is applying, and available space. When appropriate, a child may be conditionally accepted for a six-week trial period.
Upon acceptance to the school, an enrollment contract must be signed and accompanied by a non-refundable enrollment deposit to insure your child’s space in the class.
